About 10 Years Younger

Dr Uchenna transforming lives by transforming smiles in Channel 5’s reality TV show, 10Years Younger in 10 Days.

10 Years Younger is a reality TV series that aired on Channel 4 and later on Channel 5. It takes individuals and transform them to look more “glamorous”.

With the help of experts the participant of the show is given a complete make over in an attempt to make them look 10 Years Younger. At the start of the programme the person’s age is guessed by 100 people on the street and an average is taken. From this average the target image is set. At the end of the show this happens again to see the results.

Alison from Season 2 Episode 7 of 10 Years Younger in 10 Days, overcoming her fear of dentists.

Before her dental treatment, Alisons teeth were her big insecurity. Fear of going to the dentist when she was younger has had a huge impact on her oral health. Like many who suffer with dental anxiety, Alison avoided the dentist until the pain was worse than her fear. This is an awful situation to be in and one that I can relate to as I'm also a dental phobe. I helped Alison manage her fear and guided her through the treatment process, allowing her to be in control. I rebuilt Alisons smile with fixed bridges, made up of crowns and false teeth to close gaps completing her smile makeover. As you will see Alison was thrilled with the results and in her own words, feels like she's been given her life back.

Amanda's story, a look back at Amanda's transformation from S1 10 Years Younger in 10 Days.

Years of avoiding the dentist left Amanda with serious tooth decay and a lot of eroded teeth. She felt that her teeth aged her and were a big contribution to her lack of confidence and prevented her from smiling.

Dr Uchenna helped Amanda overcome her dental phobia and and gave her a new bridge to hold the damaged teeth in place and a set of porcelain veneers.

Good teeth boost self esteem and after revealing her temporary set of teeth, Amanda is clearly overcome with emotion. Shes finally got her smile back. And at the big reveal her family and friends couldn't be happier for her.
